About Me
Hi, I’m Jae, a therapist who believes that healing and growth happen in relationship, not in isolation. Whether you're here because you're overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or just longing for a deeper sense of connection with yourself or others, I want you to know: you don’t have to do this alone.
Needing support is human. Therapy isn’t about becoming more self-reliant — it’s about becoming more connected. Our brains are wired to expect support. When we feel isolated, our nervous systems work overtime.
Therapy with me will focus on growing your capacity to safely reach for others, to be supported, and to trust that it’s okay to let someone in. That someone might be me, for now.
Through a lens of attachment, self-compassion, mindfulness, and body-based awareness, we’ll work together to notice what’s happening inside. We'll explore how your past experiences shape your current feelings and reactions, and gently begin to shift patterns that once might have protected you but may now be keeping you stuck.
How I Work
I draw from:
* Psychodynamic therapy to explore what’s beneath the surface
* Attachment theory to understand your relationship patterns
* Mindfulness and somatic tools to help your nervous system settle
* Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples as well as Individuals, to find safety and rebuild connection and trust.
Therapy with me is about creating a space where you can be deeply heard, held, and supported as you build more emotional resilience, and a kinder, wiser relationship with yourself and others.
A Bit About Me (Human to Human)
I’ve experienced the healing power of therapy in my own life. I know what it’s like to work through disconnection, inner confusion and turmoil. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path — born from the support I received and a deep sense that offering care, especially when it comes to the heart, is the most meaningful work I can do.
COUPLES THERAPY
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is widely considered the gold standard in couples therapy for its deep focus on emotional connection and lasting change. [https://drsuejohnson.com/iceeft/] Grounded in attachment science and supported by decades of research, EFT helps partners move out of stuck, painful cycles and into secure, supportive connection.
I use this approach because it offers more than just communication tools. EFT helps partners feel truly seen, safe, and valued by one another. In my experience, this kind of emotional bond is what makes healing and transformation possible in relationships.
